For our last day of ‘Healthy Eating Week’ Supervalu Mallow, very kindly donated fresh fruit and water to be given out to pupils. Pupils were delighted with their free fruit and water, as evident by the pictures above. A big thank you to Mr McGlade for all his efforts with the boys this week.
Cuan, Cairdeas and Naomh Padraig enjoyed a great day in Liskennet Equine Therapy centre today. The boys went for a short ride on horseback and brushed the horses down afterwards. The Academy’s TY Vex Robotics team in action at the Cork Regional Finals in MTU yesterday. The team designed, built and programmed the robot to complete a series of challenges for this season’s game “Over Under”. Over the past few months students honed valuable skills with problem-solving, troubleshooting, research and development, invention and innovation.
Thursday December 14th Students from 1st – 3rd year made a visit to local nursing home Brídhaven. To spread the Christmas cheer the boys sang Christmas carols and the Trad Group played some traditional tunes.
TY students enjoyed a day out at a very informative Careers Fair in Pairc Ui Caoimh today. There were some very interesting displays on show and there was just enough time to stop at The Marina Market on the way home which went down well with the lads.
