Special Education

The school has 4 Special Classes to meet the needs of Students with:

• Mild General Learning Disability 
• Moderate General Learning Disability 
• Autistic Spectrum Disorder

 

Students follow a curriculum suited to their educational needs based on their Education plan. Students follow the Junior Cycle Level 2 Learning Programme (L2LP). The Priority Learning Units focus on developing the social, pre–vocational and life skills of the students involved. There are five PLU’s:  

• Communicating and literacy 
• Numeracy 
• Personal care 
• Living in a community 
• Preparing for work
