The Patrician Academy is a Catholic Voluntary Secondary School under the Trusteeship of the Diocese of Cloyne. The Academy was established in 1879 and has a long tradition of promoting and fostering academic excellence in all our students. We are committed to providing excellent education for all the students in our care.

The Patrician Academy provides a broad and balanced curriculum offering an extensive programme of Junior Certificate and Leaving Certificate subjects. All students do Transition Year which is the first year of a three year Senior Cycle Programme which culminates in the Leaving Certificate state examinations. The Patrician Academy also provides alternative programmes of study for students with specific learning requirements and special educational needs.
