26 Transition Year students attended a very successful Cyber Academy Bootcamp at Trend Micro offices in Cork on Monday. Trend Micro is a global leader in cybersecurity.
The aim of the day was to equip our students with the skills needed to deliver their Cyber Academy programme on Internet Safety skills to primary school children. The informative presentations and engaging, interactive workshop explained the importance of facilitating conversation with young people and helped the students to further develop their communication and presentation skills. Certificates of Achievement will be awarded to the TY students upon delivering the 5-week programme to children in local primary schools. The day was facilitated by one of our past-pupils Josh Hurley-Wilkinson, who is currently on placement at Trend Micro.
