Academy Senior Rugby Team win 22-17 in Cup Quarter Final.
The Academy senior rugby team progressed to the semi-final of the O’ Gorman Cup in impressive fashion as they travelled to North Kerry and overcame a tough Tarbert Comprehensive School. Tries scored by captain Gavin Sheehan, Darragh Clifford and Sam Glynn, who also kicked 2 conversions and 1 penalty. Fine performances all round but Academy’s centre pairing, Darragh Lawlee and Sean Bartley really got the Mallow side on the front foot all game long, as well as important inputs from Conor Dennehy, Jack Bolster and Donal Cronin in the pack.
Up next for the Academy is Intermediate School, Killorglin in the semi-final.
