We went on a trip with the Hope Foundation to the city of Kolkata to visit the projects that the Hope foundation had setup and also to see the poor conditions people live through in the slums. We started the trip with a long haul flight and then a transfer in Dubai to Kolkata. We arrived in India early Friday morning and we only visited the hospital that day. We would go to the Hope cafe everyday for food but Sunday. We visited a lot of boys and girls homes for children who had no families. We also visited a number of crèches and after school clubs so parents would have access to childcare and then have the ability work and support their families. We visited a local school and a soccer club and played matches and other activities with them. Overall it was a great trip and experience.
